I have over 35 years experience as a graphic designer and illustrator, I'm a 1977 graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. As a child, I attended the Tam O'Shanter art classes taught by the renowned artist and educator, Joseph Fitzpatrick, famed for having taught Andy Warhol, Philip Pearlstein and Chuck Connolly. After finishing at the Art Institute, I worked for Corporate Marketing Services, Sun Art Associates, and Prisma, Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA and finally contracted to HJ Heinz Company in Brand Design & Packaging at the Heinz 57 Center. In 2007, I was selected to illustrate the poster for the 25th Anniversary Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. In 2008, my illustration "Evolution" was selected to be in the Pittsburgh Recast show at the Heinz History Center. Also in 2008, I was awarded the Hometown Hero Award by the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes, an organization that deals with wounded veterans' issues. I'm an avid rail fan and collector of Pennsylvania Railroad memorabilia. I also collect Air Force patches and have designed Friday and Deployment Patches, as well as military challenge coins for the 13th Bomb Squadron and the 393rd Bomb Squadron at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. I'm a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators. I'm an honorary member of the 13th Bomb Squadron Association, and editor of their INVADER magazine. I am also president and a founding member of the New Kensington Camera Club.
