Digital photograph of a 1954 Buick Century, 8x10" glossy.
Ever since was a kid, I had a love for 1950s Buick, there was just something that appealed to me about these cars. A guy who lived up the street from us had a beautiful black 1955 Buick Special, my uncle Mike Porro, had a white 1957 Buick. The trim on these cars was so cool, from the trademark fender "ventiports" holes that mimiced WWII fighter pane exhaust ports, to the long sweeping trim lines that ran the length of the car, to the massive grill & bumper, to the aviation style hood ornament, everything about buicks of this era was cool to me. When I was 16, I almost bought a 1954 Buick Roadmaster, but my dad said no. Still to this day I dream of owning one. This one was in pretty sad shape, but it was still beautiful to me.
Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick?
