Dough Boy - 8x10" Print
Photograph by Don Henderson.
Digital print of the Dough Boy Statue in Lawrenceville, 8x10" glossy.
He has stood watch over Pittsburgh since 1933, with his gas mask, his Springfield rifle, fixed bayonet, torn shirt and unraveled putties. The statue is dedicated to all who made the ultimate sacrifice in WWI. "The Dough Boy" by Allen Newman is an American masterpiece and one of my favorite public/war sculptures. Story has it that the pose is based on Michelangelo's David. He stands guard at the intersection of Liberty Avenue and Butler Street in my native Lawrenceville, overlooking Downtown Pittsburgh. .
Printed from an Epson Expression XP-15000 printer using Claria Hi-Definition Ink on a 8.5x11" Epson glossy digital photo paper.
Mailed in flat, rigid envelopes to prevent damage or curling, and are ready to frame.
