Paper Doll was a B-25 Mitchell Medium Bomber that flew with the 7th Army Air Force in the Pacific Theater of Operations during WWII. This aircraft appeared on the cover of the August 8, 1944 issue of 7th AAF BRIEF Magazine, Vol. 1, No. 14, the price was 15¢! Despite her name, Paper Doll was a formidable aircraft with a crew of 5. She packed some pretty heavy duty fire power, not only did she have twelve .50 cal. machine guns, but she also had a 75mm cannon in her nose that was pioneered by Pappy Gunn and she could carry 3,200 lbs. of bombs! Powered by two R-2600-13 turbo supercharged radials engines capable of 1,700 horsepower each at take-off, she could attain a maximum speed of 275 mph at 13,000 ft. with a cruising speed of 230 mph and a range 1,350 miles.
