Vector illustration of P-47 "Rough and Ready" 14x11".
Rough and Ready was a P-47 Thunderbolt with the "Panzer Dusters" of the 395th Fighter Squadron, 368th Fighter Group, 9th Air Force, United States Army Air Corps. The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was like a flying tank, with 2,000 horse power radial engine. The Thunderbolt could fly with the best of them and take a tremendous amount of damage. With four 50 caliber guns in each wing, she was loaded for bear and could destroy just about anything in the air or on the ground spitting out 72,000 rounds per minute! That's the whole nine yards and on top of that, could carry 2000 lbs of bombs to boot! She really was the big gun of WWII fighter planes.
Rough and Ready's Nose Art was based on a popular Gil Elvgren Pin-Up called "A Knockout".
Printed from an Epson Expression XP-15000 printer using Claria Hi-Definition Ink on a 13x19" sheet of matte finish, ultra premium photo paper.
